Palace on Wheels is a 7 Nights / 8 Days sojourn to the Land of Maharaja, Rajasthan. This super-luxury train is no less than any five star deluxe hotel. Day 01 - Wednesday - Delhi
Departure: 1745 Hrs.
1745 Hrs.: The Palace on Wheels leaves the Delhi Cantonment Railway Station for Jaipur. Take pleasure in the traditional Indian reception on board.
2000 Hrs.: Enjoy a scrumptious dinner on board. Overnight on board.
Day 02 - Thursday - Jaipur
Arrival: 0200 Hrs. Departure 1930 Hrs.
0200 Hrs.: You have arrived at the first destination of the Palace on Wheels, i.e., Jaipur. Elephants with the accompaniment of the Shehnai recital are all set to welcome you in the Pink City. After the breakfast, get ready to go on the first half of the city tour of Jaipur in the air-conditioned coaches. Enjoy your visit to the Hawa Mahal and Amber Fort. Shop at the Rajasthali-Rajasthan Government Emporium for local handicrafts, carpets, jewelry and textile. A lavish spread is there for lunch at the famous heritage hotel Rambagh Palace. After lunch, head for second half of the city tour and visit the City Palace and Jantar Mantar.
1830 Hrs.: It is time to go back to the Palace on Wheels for the onward journey.
2000 Hrs.: Enjoy a scrumptious dinner on board. Overnight on board.
Day 03 - Friday - Jaisalmer
Arrival: 0815 Hrs. Departure 2300 Hrs.
0815 Hrs.: You have arrived on the second destination of the Palace on Wheels, i.e., Jaisalmer. After the breakfast, get ready to go on city tour of the Golden City in air-conditioned coaches. Enjoy your visit the Patwaon ki Haveli, Nathmalji ki Haveli and Salim Singh ki Haveli. Shop at Rajasthali-Rajasthan Government Emporium for the Embroidered Articles, Mirror Work, Pattu Shawls, Silver Jewelry and Wooden Boxes.
You will come back to the Palace on Wheels for an appealing variety of food for lunch. After the lunch, we will take for the Camel Safari on the Sam Sand Dunes. Mouth-watering dinner is ready for you at the hotel in Jaisalmer with the accompaniment of the lively cultural programs.
2300 Hrs.: Return back to the Palace on Wheels for the onward journey. Overnight on board.
Day 04 - Saturday - Jodhpur
Arrival: 0700 Hrs. Departure 1530 Hrs.
700 Hrs.: You have arrived at the third destination of the Palace on Wheels, Jodhpur. After the breakfast, get ready to go on city tour of the Blue City in air-conditioned coach. Enjoy your visit to the Mehrangarh Fort including Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana and the Jaswant Thada. Here you can shop for famous Breeches, Embroidered Shoes or Jootis, Paintings, Silverware and Tie-n-Dye Fabrics.
The warm and delightful preparations are ready for lunch at the Palace Hotel.
1530 Hrs.: Return back to the Palace on Wheels for the onward journey. Enjoy a scrumptious dinner on board. Overnight on board.
Day 05 - Sunday - Sawai Madhopur
Arrival: 0400 Hrs. Departure: 1030 Hrs.
0400 Hrs.: You have arrived at the fourth destination of the Palace on Wheels, Sawai Madhopur. After the breakfast, get for guided tour of the Ranthambore National Park and the ruins of the forts.
1030 Hrs.: Return back to the Palace on Wheels for the onward journey.
Chittorgarh
Arrival: 1530 Hrs. Departure: 2000 Hrs.
1530 Hrs.: By the time you are through with the lunch, you have reached the fifth destination, Chittorgarh. Enjoy your visit of the Legendry Land of Love and Loyalty to see the Chittorgarh Fort including Vijay Stambh or Tower of Victory and the Kirti Stambh or Tower of Fame.
2000 Hrs.: Return back to the Palace on Wheels for the onward journey. Enjoy a scrumptious dinner on board. Overnight on board.
Day 06 -Monday - Udaipur
Arrival: 0645 Hrs. Departure: 2000 Hrs.
0645 Hrs.: You have arrived at the sixth destination of the Palace on Wheels, Udaipur. After the breakfast, get ready to go on city tour in air-conditioned coaches. Enjoy your visit of the Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) and Jag Mandir on the Lake Pichola.
Relish a sumptuous meal for lunch at the Lake Palace Hotel. After the lunch, visit the City Palace.
2000 Hrs.: Return back to the Palace on Wheels for the onward journey. Enjoy a scrumptious dinner on board. Overnight on board.
Day 07 - Tuesday - Bharatpur-Agra
Arrival: 0630 Hrs. Departure: 1145 Hrs.
0630 Hrs.: You have arrived at the seventh destination of the Palace on Wheels, Bharatpur. After breakfast, get ready to go on a guide tour of the Keoladeo Ghana National Park also popular as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary to spot varieties of chirping birds including the rare migratory ones like Siberian cranes.
1145 Hrs.: Return back to the Palace on Wheels for the onward journey.
Day 07 - Tuesday - Agra
Arrival: 1430 Hrs. Departure: 2300 Hrs.
1430 Hrs.: You have arrived at the eighth destination of the Palace on Wheels, Fatehpur Sikri en-route to Agra. Get ready to visit the shrine of Sheikh Salim Chishti, Mosque, Buland Darwaza and residential and official quarters of King Akbar.
Return back to the Palace on Wheels for the onward journey.
Relish the delicious menu for lunch at the hotel in Agra. After the lunch, enjoy your visit to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Shop for the replicas of the Taj as souvenirs, Marble Inlay work, Leather Goods and Antique Jewelry.
2300 Hrs.: Return back to the Palace on Wheels for the onward journey. Overnight on board.
Day 08 - Wednesday - Delhi
Arrival: 0600 Hrs.
0600 Hrs.: The Palace on Wheels arrives at Delhi Cantonment Railway station the next morning. Breakfast will be served on board.
