Mussoorie, Hill Stations in Mussoorie 'Queen of Hill', Mussoorie is nestled at an elevation of 2003 m in the Garhwal division of Uttaranchal. Named after the Himalayan shrub 'Mansoor' found in plenty in that region, Mussoorie is spread over 16 km long horse-shoe shaped ridge. Mussoorie was discovered by Captain Young in 1826 AD who eventually decided to settle down here.

Landour, towards the east of Mussoorie, is the place where the first British residence came up and even today has old barracks. This was followed by the Mall, club, Christ Church and Library. The Municipal Gardens with artificial lake and boating facilities and Camel's Back are the places worth seeing in Mussoorie. The gun hill, the second highest peak of Mussoorie can be reached by the ropeway ride. Savor the sights of the Bunderpunch, srikantha, Pithwara and Gangotri peaks from here.
