Day 1- Arrive Delhi
Arrive at Delhi and meet the representatives of the Evolution Travels at the arrival hall. Transfer and check in to the hotel.
Day 2- In Delhi
In the morning you proceed on a tour of the capital city. In Old Delhi, visit majestic Red Fort, the historical Chandni Chowk, besides Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana. In New Delhi, visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honor of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan War; the Laxmi Narayan Temple built by the Birlas, one of India's leading industrial families; Qutab Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibak of the Slave Dynasty and the lotus-shaped Baha'i Temple.
Day 3 - To Darjeeling
In the morning, proceed to the domestic airport in Delhi to board your flight for Bagdogra. Meet the representatives of the Evolution Travels at Bagdogra. Transfer to Darjeeling and check in to the hotel.
Day is at leisure to explore the local markets.
Day 4 - In Darjeeling
Early in the morning around 4 am, you will drive to Tiger Hill to witness the sunrise over the Eastern Himalayan peaks with fabulous views of the famous Mount Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest (Subject to Clear Weather). Also enjoy a tour of the hill station which includes the visit to the Zoological Park; Himalayan Mountaineering Institute; Ghoom Buddhist Monastery - a typical Tibetan Monastery housing an image of the Maitreyi Buddha; Gumbu Rock-Site and the Tibetan Self-Help Camp for shopping of handicrafts made by the refugees and the Llyods Botanical Garden, which has a fine collection of Himalayan flora including the orchid. You will have some free time in the Market Square where you can enjoy shopping for handicrafts.
Day 5 - In Darjeeling
The day is free to relax and admire the picturesque beauty of this quaint hill station.
Explore the local bazaars on your own.
Day 6 - To Pemayangtse
This morning your journey continues to Pemayangtse driving past terraced rice fields. En-route visit the Rumtek Monastery. It is a monastery of great significance as it is considered to be one of the finest examples of Tibetan monastic art in Sikkim. Admire its traditional architecture, beautifully carved and painted woodwork and splendid murals.
Continue your journey to Pemayangtse. On arrival, check in to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 7 - To Gangtok
After breakfast, check out and proceed to visit Pemayangtse monastery. After visiting the monastery, drive onwards to Gangtok.
Arrive at Gangtok and check in at hotel. Day is at leisure.
Day 8 - In Gangtok
Visit some very fascinating sights of Gangtok including Tashi Point, from where one can enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and the remains of the Palace of the Chogyal, the Tsuklakhang or Royal Chapel where many of the Royal weddings and coronations took place.
Continue to the Enchey Ancient Monastery where one can catch a glimpse of young lamas learning and worshipping dressed in their traditional attire. The tour is complete with a visit to the Orchid Sanctuary, which offers an amazing display of more than 250 varieties of orchids (The flowers bloom between April and May and December and January).
Day 9 - To Kalimpong
In the morning, drive to Kalimpong. Arrive at Kalimpong and check-in at hotel.
Later visit Durpin Dara, Tharpa Choling Monestary, Zong Dong Palri Fo Brang Monastery, Nursery and Market.
Day 10 - To Bhubaneshwar
In the morning, leave for Bagdogra airport from where you will board your flight to Kolkata. Arrive at Kolkata and connect onward flight to Bhubaneshwar in the evening (This flight currently operates only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays). Arrive at Bhubaneshwar and check in at hotel.
Rest of the evening is at leisure to relax and unwind in the company of temples.
Day 11 - In Bhubaneshwar
In the morning, proceed on the Temple Tour, which includes a visit to the Lingaraj Temple, the Parsurameswar Temple, the Mukteswar Temple and the Rajarani Temple all bearing testimony to the magnificence of Orissan architecture expressed through the sculptures and exteriors of the temples. You will then enjoy some free time in the bustling colorful markets shopping for some exquisite Orissan handicrafts.
The rest of the afternoon is free for you to spend in your own way. Visit the State Museum for some of the finest collections of paintings and palm leaf etchings; Atri, famous for its hot sulphur springs or the Hatakeswar Temple.
You may also chose to go on an excursion to Cuttack (30 km from Bhubaneshwar), shopper's paradise for fabrics and silver filigree or to Pipli (20 km from Bhubaneshwar), famous for its colored appliqué work.
Day 12 - To Puri
Today enjoy a picturesque drive through the lush green countryside to the seaside resort of Puri. En-route enjoy a visit to the spectacular Sun Temple in Konark renowned for its architectural magnificence.
Proceed to Puri and on arrival check in at your hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure to explore the beaches.
Day 13 - In Puri
In the morning, proceed for the city tour, which includes a visit to the famous Jagannath Temple. It is the pulsating pilgrimage center of the city. Enjoy a stroll through the temple's bustling bazaar and visit the main temple complex.
The rest of the afternoon is free for shopping or for relaxing on the beach.
Day 14 - In Puri
The day is free to enjoy yourself on the beach or shopping. You may also take our optional excursion to Raghurajpur, a famous artists' village where you will have the opportunity to shop for paintings and palm leaf etchings and admire the skill of the workers.
Day 15 - To Kolkata
In the morning, drive to Bhubaneshwar airport to board your flight for Kolkata. Arrive at Kolkata and check in at hotel.
Later visit Victoria Memorial; Howrah Bridge, which is the third largest bridge in the world and has over 2 million people crossing over it daily; Fort William situated between the River and the Maidan. It is an imposing fort and one of the most expensive forts of its time. It has a unique distinction of never having a gun fired in anger from its ramparts. Now it houses the local army headquarters
Day 16 - In Kolkata
In the morning, leave for the sightseeing tour of Kolkata. Visit Mother Teresa's orphanage and enjoy the bazaars. Kolkata is famous for it's local sweet called by the name of Roshogulla, which should not be missed.
Day 17 - Leave Kolkata
Kolkata has direct connection with major European countries. Kindly check locally in your country before making any flight reservations.
In the morning drive to airport to board your flight for onward journey.
